This introduction to fermentation workshop is for anyone interested in learning how to make fermented products at home. You will learn how to make yoghurt, milk kefir, kombucha, beet kvass, sauerkraut and brined vegetables. You will get to taste the ferments and learn about the health benefits of each. In the hands-on part of the workshop you will make sauerkraut and brined carrots to take home along with an instruction booklet on how to make each of the ferments discussed. Additionally, anyone interested in making their own kombucha at home will be given a scoby to get started so join us for an afternoon of fun, food and ferments.
